Since 2015 PatoGen has used massive parallel sequencing to gain access to the genetic code for different fish pathogens. Here you can identify changes in genes associated with diseases and phenotypes, among other things.

We use targeted sequencing to look closer at specific gene areas in different fish pathogens. PatoGen also performs other sequencing methods to be able to go deeper into the material to look at the whole genome of bacteria and viruses for example.

At PatoGen sequencing is a useful tool to perform infection tracing of virus, verification of virulent ISAV, genotyping of virus and differentiate between virus and vaccine, among other things. Different sequencing methods are also much used in research to generate new knowledge.

We can deliver single sequences and infection tracing on a selection of agents.
