PatoSafe Broodstock

PatoSafe Broodstock ensures an infection-free origin and the best starting point for healthy fish.

PatoSafe Broodstock

PatoSafe Freshwater

PatoSafe Freshwater maps sources of infection and identifies actions to remove them.

PatoSafe Freshwater

PatoSafe Seawater

PatoSafe Seawater enables proactive efforts for fish health.

PatoSafe Seawater

PatoSafe Cleaner Fish

Control of infection status is extremely important to promote good health and welfare in cleaner fish.

Transfer Control

Optimisation of smolt quality can be achieved with a good seawater adapted and infection free smolt. By taking control of the infection status of the smolt groups in fresh water you can reduce mortality and get better performance after transfer to sea.

More about Transfer Control

SmoltTimer®

Optimal release of smolt gives increased performance and profitability. SmoltTimer provides control of the smoltification process and displays the ideal time for release into the sea. After the first test sample, each smolt group is given a prognosis of their expected development and, using a large historic experience database, deviations in production can be detected and remedies implemented.

Gill swabs

Gill swabs contributes to an easier and better surveillance of infection status. Swabbing of gills is a gentle sampling method that also can be performed on live fish.

LiceAdvisor®

LiceAdvisor is not just a genetic sensitivity test for chemical treatments against sea lice. LiceAdvisor is used to support selection of the correct treatment, generates an estimate of the expected treatment efficacy, and provides a good basis for evaluation of the actual treatment efficacy.

Histology

Histology is a central diagnostic tool in the aquaculture industry and PatoGen now has the pleasure to offer this service to our customers. PatoGen works to secure good fish health primary through preventive health work, but also by clarifying cause of mortality.

Bacteriology

Bacteriology is an important part of the diagnostics of salmon and cleaner fish. Both wounds and various systemic bacterial diseases can be examined with bacteriological analysis, for example pasteurellosis, typical and atyoical furunculosis, mortiella, tenacibaculum and yerisinosis.

Patolink

Patolink is PatoGen's customer portal. Patolink is a unique tool for robust systematic work for better fish health.

Vaccine differentiation

If we get a positive IPNV or SAV detection in fish that are vaccinated for these diseases, we routinely perform vaccine differentiation to determine if it is virus or a vaccine component.

More about vaccine differentiation

Sequencing

Since 2015 PatoGen has used massive parallel sequencing to gain access to the genetic code for different fish pathogens. Here you can identify changes in genes associated with diseases and phenotypes, among other things.
