PatoGen is accredited

July 1, 2009 PatoGen was accredited by Norwegian Accreditation as a test laboratory in accordance with international standard ISO17025 TEST with registration number 235.

Accreditation is a voluntary approval scheme involving an official recognition that an organisation is working in accordance with a documented quality system and satisfies specified international standards. Accredited services are internationally accepted. Accreditation means that there are specific requirements for the management of the laboratory, personnel, equipment, procedures, and that the laboratory has an approved quality management system.

PatoGen meets the requirements in the Norwegian Standard NS-EN ISO/IEC 17025 “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories". Using regular audits, Norwegian Accreditation will ensure that the requirements for accreditation are met. Accreditation scope is specified in a separate accreditation document.

The quality of analysis methods that are currently not accredited is good and, if there is a high enough demand, accreditation will be applied for more of them in the future.
